A native born in Caracas, Venezuela. Attended University of Central Venezuela and Miami Dade Comunity College for undergraduate studies, and University of Missouri Kansas City where she received her Dental Degree in may 2000 and graduated in the ten top percent of her class.

She accumulated a number of honors during the course of her studies, including the George Epstein Award, the Depowell Award and belonged to the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society.
